We are improving health outcomes through innovative ultrasound technology.

So we have been working in ultrasound for about the last fifteen years, and we were doing an assessment at a hospital that wanted to use our services for onsite services. And when we started doing the assessment, we were looking at the insurance codes that they had historically billed. And after doing that assessment, we realized there were no prenatal screening codes in their list for the past year. So we started thinking, like, “How is that possible that you would have no prenatal screening codes, and you're the only hospital around for two—two and a half hours?”
So we started talking to the CFO, and it turned out it wasn't a malicious kind of thing. It really was just about not having the proper staffing to be able to offer ultrasound to patients. And he said, “Really, we're kind of at the mercy of you all being able to provide services to us for us to be able to start providing ultrasound services again.” I knew it would take me another six months to staff this particular hospital.
It happened to be that my flight from Kansas that particular day got canceled. And so I had to drive the eight-hour drive back from Kansas to Austin. And the whole way home, I was really brooding and really angry. Like, how is it possible that we have really allowed this to happen to women in rural areas—that there is no alternative, there is no one to staff those clinics?
And I started to think, “How can we leverage technology to have our skilled, excellent sonographers at the patient bedside, even in these remote locations?” And that was really how I came up with the idea of TeleScan—a remote teleultrasound solution where we could leverage our sonographers in distant locations. That's the origin story.

We believe
Identifying abnormalities early allows providers to positively impact patient outcomes.
Women should have access to the best diagnostic technology available regardless of their income or zip code.
Developing technology extends the reach of ultrasound experts.
Values
We like the acronym "In Deep" for our values, not only because it’s a helpful mnemonic device, but because it really gets to the heart of who we are as a company. We don’t do anything halfway. We are always all-in. This mentality has allowed our company to move the needle forward, and (we believe) will lead to continued success.
